Apsis Bowl

A modern play on deconstruction, the Apsis Collection is composed of paper-thin brass tiles that have been hand-soldered into intricate sculptural decor pieces. These multi-dimensional hand-crafted shapes are then finished in brass or bronze for added sheen. The Apsis Bowl sits beautifully alone or can be paired with the matching Apsis Vase on your dining table, sideboard, or entryway console. Traditional porcelain-making involves either throwing clay on a wheel or using a mold. Playing with these concepts, our artisans have deconstructed a Blanc de Chine porcelain bowl into delicate hand-made tiles, and then reconstructed it again. The result is a stunning and unusual contemporary bowl which is sculptural and unique. It is equally suited as a decorative piece of art on an etagere, a striking centerpiece filled with fruit or flowers, or a potted plant. With a glossy finish, the uses are innumerable.
