What is a Landed Price?

The Rug District sells rugs and home décor items at the lowest final landed price in Canada. A “landed price” is the complete cost to receive your order in Canada, including shipping, taxes, duties, brokerage fees, and exchange rates.

A U.S. price may appear lower, but often does not include important extra charges. As a customer, you should consider that:

• “Free shipping” on U.S. websites usually excludes Canada.
• GST/PST/HST are due when importing into Canada and often collected C.O.D.
• Rugs and décor items are subject to import duties and brokerage fees.
• Prices are in USD and affected by exchange rate conversion and card fees.
• Returns and warranty claims must be shipped back to the U.S. at your cost, including risk of paying duty again if replaced.

How Our Price Match Works

If you find the same item advertised for less, we will happily match the lower landed price and refund an additional 10% of the difference.

• The product must be identical (same brand, size, colour, style, etc.).
• The competitor must be an authorized Canadian retailer with the item in stock and available for immediate purchase.
• A link or advertisement displaying the price shipped to the same address must be provided.
• Sales tax, shipping costs, duties, and import fees will be included when calculating final landed price.

Exclusions: Clearance, final sale, open-box, liquidation, refurbished, marketplace sellers (Amazon 3rd-party, eBay, Facebook Marketplace), pricing errors, flash sales, and limited-time coupon codes.
