Izmir IZM204F Grey / Rust Area Rug

A classical palmette trellis creates an open, balanced composition grounded in antique Persian design. A predominantly greige field provides a calm, neutral backdrop where subtle tonal accents meet warmer rust details. Hand-Knotted in India: Tied one knot at a time. The process is slow and exacting, and the rug holds its pattern and structure for generations. Low Wool Pile: The 2/5-inch wool pile provides a smooth, dense surface underfoot while keeping intricate vine motifs legible. Natural wool deepens in luster and character with everyday living. Palmette Trellis Pattern: An open lattice of palmettes and curling vinework expands across the field, framed by a multi-band botanical border. The traditional design pairs formal symmetry with a relaxed, antique scale. Slate and Terracotta Palette: A weathered slate-blue ground holds muted terracotta, soft apricot, and dusty indigo motifs. The sun-bleached tones soften high-traffic spaces without competing with existing room elements. Room Fit: An architectural foundation suited for formal living rooms, dining spaces, and quiet primary bedrooms. Positioning furniture to overlap the outer border or centering beneath a main seating group balances room proportions. Rug Pad Recommended: Cushions the knotted foundation, prevents sliding across hard flooring surfaces, and protects the hand-bound back from premature wear.
